Gateway module is a central router that can securely and reliably transmit and receive data across multiple different networks within the vehicle. It performs information exchange between functional domains which implement physical isolation and protocol conversion. Vehicles increasingly rely on electronic control units (ECUs) to enhance the driving experience. As a communication bridge between different ECUs, the gateway controller enables data exchange through its external interfaces.
CCFC2012BC series have multiple CAN/CANFD and LIN interfaces built-in, which can provide multiple information exchange functions for gateway controllers. Information security is becoming increasingly important, and adding SE security units to gateway controllers can provide security services during information exchange.
